The Santa Maria, together with the Pinta and Nina, is famous the world over for its part in Columbians discovery of the New World on October 12, 1942. This kit includes the tools necessary to complete the construction of this magnificent model. Manufactured in Spain by the largest and most respected model ship kit builder in the world, Artesania Latina model kits represent the state-of-the-art in fine wooden ship modeling. Were carrying eleven models, including such classic tall ships as the USS Constellation, the HMS Bounty and the HMS Victory. All the ships feature plank-on-bulkhead construction, cloth sails, rigging lines, brass fittings and details, and are geared towards the intermediate and advanced ship modeler. These magnificent kits include extensive instructions, including full scale rigging diagrams and some kits even include the tools necessary to build the model!
