Euchre is a card game that originated with the Pennsylvania Dutch in the 19th century. Originally played with a 32-card deck, Yahoo! (and most others) use a 24-card deck (A, K, Q, J, 10, 9 of each of the 4 standard suits). The standard game, and the one found at Yahoo! is played by 4 players divided into 2 partnerships. Partners sit across from one another. The object of the game is to score 10 points. 5 cards are dealt to each Euchre player. The 4 undealt cards, known as the kitty, are placed facedown on the table. The top card of the kitty is turned faceup.
